Supporting all of parents' parts through all the parts of parenting

 Parent Parts

1.

Individual Psychotherapy

As a psychotherapist with Everyday Parenting Psychology, I specialize in the perinatal period and the transition to parenthood. I also support women throughout the life course. I provide a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings, where all your parts are welcomed and nourished.

2.

Parent Coaching

Parenting young children can feel impossible, and advice can feel at best overwhelming, at worst shaming and debilitating. We will look at your child’s unique developmental profile, and what you bring to each interaction to develop a tailored, compassionate plan that affirms the goodness inside both you and your child. Together we can address topics such as sleep, separation, tantrums, toileting, transitions, and discipline.

3.

Therapy
Groups

“Groups foster an understanding that one is not alone in their suffering by universalizing the issues members face” - Kris Drumm

Therapy groups tackle social isolation, build a sense of efficacy and empowerment, and can feel like a lower stakes, lower cost way to reap many of the benefits of therapy, with the added bonus of building connection and community.

4.

Writing Coaching

Drawing on my previous career working with writers as a literary director and dramaturg, I offer highly personalized, one-on-one support to guide parents and college-bound students through the admissions essay-writing process, creating a fun, engaging, stress-free environment to get you to the application you can’t wait to send.

Therapy Sessions
My Approach

Considering a new therapy journey can feel overwhelming, and even immobilizing. The great news is that the evidence shows that things can absolutely get better. Together we will establish a safe space where we can approach even the more tender parts with curiosity and compassion to learn the wealth of information they hold.

I work with adults confronting anxiety, depression, adjustment, trauma, and relationship struggles. I have a passion for perinatal mental health, and love working with parents to explore and discover the ways that raising children can deepen our understanding of our own patterns and inner history.

Getting Help

You don't have to walk this path on your own.

Here are some resources to help you on your journey.

She looked nice -- and tired, and interesting, like there were all sorts of secret things about her that were set on pause for the time being. She looked like I saw myself. We nodded at each other in solidarity. This, I had newly discovered, is the way moms do it: acknowledging the fact that even though you don’t know each other, you’re still a part of this great cosmic team"
